Museum Gardens Zoo........

Looking for something a bit different to visit in York?

Head for Museum Gardens and you will find these lovely creatures taking a well-earned break for the winter after a busy summer on safari in the city's many tourist attractions.

Also check out The Yorkshire Museum  in the gardens with its excellent collections of Yorkshire’s archaeology as well geology , palaeontology and natural history.

Or admire the Hospitium, a beautiful medieval timbered building,

Finally, visit the Multangular Tower, the best example of standing Roman remains in York.
